Carole Michelucci
Chief Talent Officer
Carole Michelucci is CN’s Chief Talent Officer. She is responsible for the development and execution of a company-wide talent strategy and supporting programs, leading its Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Organizational Effectiveness and Succession work.
With more than 20 years of experience as a Human Resources professional, Carole has become known as a dynamic leader with deep expertise in building and unlocking the potential of people, enabling collaboration, innovation and driving business growth. She has led many initiatives that have strengthened CN’s culture, advancing the strategic impact of the HR function, and elevating CN’s reputation as an employer of choice.
Over the span of her career, Carole has held increasingly senior roles in Human Resources, including as Director, Talent Management and Director, Labour Relations. She has led and implemented many learning and development initiatives, including a multi-year leadership program designed to create a collaborative, agile, safe, and future-ready organization. While in Labour Relations, she led the Canadian LR Transportation team, worked closely with operations leaders and was part of the bargaining team for collective bargaining contract renewals with Conductors and Locomotive Engineers across Canada.
Prior to CN, Carole was Director, Career and Placement Center at McGill University in Montreal, QC. In that role, she reported to the Dean of Student Services and managed multiple operations. While at McGill University, she was a Faculty Lecturer in their Faculty of Arts & Management for several years.
Carole holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations from Queen’s University in Kingston, ON and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University in Montreal, QC. Carole is an advocate for women and children’s causes and has supported non-profit organizations working with women returning to the workforce and that support children requiring additional after school assistance. From 2000 – 2004, Carole was the President of the CN Daycare Board of Directors.
