RAC Dangerous Goods Team completes first railway emergency response training course of 2015

The Railway Association of Canada Dangerous Goods Team has completed its first of three 40-hour railway emergency response training courses at the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC) in Maple Ridge, B.C.

The course was aimed at industry, municipal and contractor emergency responders. The students received expert instruction, and experienced various situations and scenarios that they may encounter in the event of a railway incident. Everyone involved returns to their respective communities with new knowledge of how to deal with these types of incidents.

The next railway emergency response training courses will be held at the JIBC in September and October of 2015.
