RAC Dangerous Goods Team completes Dangerous Goods Training
On Friday, October 3, the RAC Dangerous Goods Team completed the delivery of its 40-hour Railway Emergency Response course at the Justice Institute of British Columbia in Maple Ridge, B.C.
This course is based on Canadian Dangerous Goods Regulations and includes many response techniques, props and exercises. There is also a major derailment scenario given to the class at the end of the week.
The class was comprised of firefighters, industry responders, emergency response contractors, and railway employees. This was third and final class conducted in 2014.
The RAC wishes to thank all the experienced instructors that gave their time and expertise to maximize the quality of the training. Dates for the 2015 edition of this training course will be announced in December.
