Youth In Rail – James Martin Chavez

Meet James Martin Chavez, who started at CN last fall as an intern in the Mechanical function and recently joined full-time as a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer. 

James graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. As a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer, he is responsible for preventive maintenance, optimization and improvement.  

James’ career goals include becoming a professional engineer and an expert in his field.
